Last week Pepsi and BzzAgent sent me a new product to try. Maybe you’ve already tried it?
It’s called Pepsi Next and it’s billed as less sugar, same cola taste.

Pepsi isn’t may favorite simply because they have too sweet of a flavor. Root beer is my favorite cola, but when given a choice I usually pick Coke over Pepsi. And…. I abhor the flavor of diet anything – the aftertaste is like antifreeze in my mouth. Yuck.

So, I was curious to try Pepsi Next and see if it was less sweet tasting than the regular pepsi product and if it didn’t have a “diet” aftertaste.

Well, the answer is yes and no. Yes, it’s less sweet and no it doesn’t have the regular antifreeze aftertaste, but……..

It tastes flat – like it’s been out all night, yet it was fresh from the can and the 2 liter bottle.

Would I intentially buy in in the future? Maybe, but I’ll probably just buy the diet root beer even though it does have an aftertaste.
